Bridging ourselves to God

I love going on road trips with my brother and this one was to Stillwater
and I found this interesting. It got me thinking about how God is our bridge,
he is the One we connect too. He's the one we go to when we feel like giving
up. He gives us friends to connect with or bridges us together.

A bridge is built strong and to withhold all the different elements and no
matter what comes at that bridge it stays put, and that's how our Father God is
for us he stands as a Strong Tower for us or a Strong Bridge that can weather
anything. He holds us as we go through the elements that the enemy throws
our way. And we need to be strong like that bridge not wavering to the right
or to the left. We just need to stand and stay put.

And some bridges need to be burned all the way because they can distract
us from hearing from God and also those friends who pull us away from
having a relationship with God, so their are different reasons for
bridges, some we keep and keep on building and others that have to be torn
down. Each situation is different and unique.

Sometimes we need to build bridges to get cars across to the other side,
and even walkways so that bicycles can go over too.

And we can become like old bridges all worn out if we don't continue
having a relationship with Jesus Christ. and same if we stop reading the Bible
we can become weak and fall apart and the beams that should hold us up
end up falling down into waters. We need those beams to hold us up just
like Jesus does for us. We need to keep our bridge free of debri because if
we don't well crumble and fall.

So keep your bridges strong and mighty like that of Jesus Christ.

Words That You Say

It's an unfortunate thing to happen to me and to others those who have to say hurtful words to crush them.
That is why it is so important to think before you speak. Words can also pierce your spirit and cause you to crumble to the ground. Words can even put you in a fetal position, so we need to be very careful of what comes forth from our mouths.

I know I am very careful about this same thing. I don't want to make someone else hurt by my words or actions. I don't want my brother or sister to stumble because of the words that come forth from my mouth.

The Book Of James talks about the tongue and how dangerous it is and that it can cause a forest fire that is out of control. Your words will either be a blessing to someone or a curse. The choice is always there it is just up to you and which one we choose, we need to be uplifting in our words or say things that will crumble a person to the ground and make them immovable and paralyzed.

God wants wholesome language to come out of us not a bunch of swear words that hurt the people around us. We need to build up one another not crush one another. He wants us to be examples of who He is and when we talk fifthly we are not honoring God but the enemy and man. We hurt God when we tell bad jokes that hurt and sting others around us.

But like I said it is a choice how we talk and what comes out of our mouths. We need to edify each other not break each other to the ground. The only one who can help you stop is Jesus Christ himself. I know drivers can test that and what you say when someone cuts you off it makes you want to show your cute little middle finger or yell inside your car like they can hear you.

Or make such wonderful gestures and guess what Jesus is right there in the car with you and he sees what you do and say and act. I know God is embarrassed when we do that. And too how do you think that other person feels when you do that. You're not being a witness when you do that. If you think God says that's okay you are nuts! He does not except anything bad to come out of your mouths. It is wrong and it is a sin. I am appalled at those who think it is okay with Jesus.

We are to be witnesses everywhere we go: in the mall, in the car, anywhere. God is watching us and what we do as followers of Him. Instead of cursing at how that person ticked you off pray for them it's powerful when you do. It also frees us up when you do and it changes your heart.

Stop making excuses for your behaviors.
Watch what you say and do at all times.
Is the words that are coming from your mouth blessing those around you or are you crushing that person's spirit so they can't move.
What goes in must come out!

God Bless You!
